I thought I'd write a quick update on what I've been up to the past couple of months.
I've been trying to recalibrate somewhat creatively. I'm not taking on any art commissions at the moment, as very much trying to get back into the habit of creating artwork for myself, trying to work out what to do next and also experimenting a bit. This is feeding into my music also. I'm hoping I'll feel refreshed by the middle of the year and will be back on it all. I will ensure to update my about page when I am taking commissions again :-)
Some good news in the meantime is that I was approached by James Tugwell of The British Library Sound Archive in January and asked if I would like to contribute my music to the archive (https://www.bl.uk/subjects/sound), which I accepted of course! So all of the albums and singles on my Bandcamp page are now also archived at the British Library, both for preservation and access for future generations, which is just fantastic and I am very honoured to be a part of such an excellent project. Thank you again to James Tugwell and Andy Linehan.
I can't think of much else to report, except that I have bought a lot of Winsor & Newton drawing ink recently, as I love the little boxes with the illustrations on. I had a couple before but now I have all of them! I love the fact they have been packaged this way since 1973 and they have not changed. I remember seeing them in art shops when I was little and would accompany my Dad to buy his art materials. He used to buy paints, pastels and pencils but didn't really do inks, but I always had my eye on them and thought some day I'd quite like some of those, so here we are!
Anyway that's enough. Oh yeah and I have just bought yet another keyboard, another midi controller this time (Akai MPK Mini mk3), so this now my eighth keyboard.
That's all for now, thanks for reading my waffling!
